The Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX-1) is a floating, self-propelled, mobile active electronically scanned array early-warning radar station designed to operate in high winds and heavy seas. It was developed as part of the Missile Defense Agency's Ballistic Missile Defense System. There is not an elevator to the SBX so all visitors would have to climb 151 stairs. Visits are not recommended for those personal who are not in good physical condition or who have a fear of heights. The Stairs to the main deck are on the outside of the center column.

When: January 19 at 1pm

List of names must be given in advance for clearance, so please rsvp by January 12. Only 14 spots available!
